Doodle Steps is a drawing app for children aged 4 to 10. We built it to collect as little as possible. This page explains exactly what is and is not collected.
Nothing. Children do not create accounts, type names, chat, or send anything to us. There are no ads, no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party trackers in the app.
Drawings saved to My Art are stored only in the browser on your device. They are never uploaded to us. Clearing your browser's site data deletes them. Downloaded PNG files go wherever your device saves downloads.
Payments are processed by Whop. Whop collects the buyer's email and payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see card numbers. Only adults may make a purchase.
When a grown-up unlocks the app, the app sends the checkout email to our unlock service once. We use it only to confirm the purchase with Whop and then return an unlock key. We do not store the email, add it to a mailing list, or share it.
The app stores the unlock key, the last category your child picked, and saved drawings in your browser. None of this is sent to us.
Our hosting provider (Vercel) keeps short-lived technical logs, such as IP addresses, to run and protect the service. We do not use them to identify or profile anyone.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
You can delete everything the app stores by clearing site data for this website in your browser settings. You can ask us any privacy question, or ask us to delete any information connected to your purchase, by emailing the address below.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
